This miniature Japanese Takoyaki Yatai or shop measures 4 1/2" high by 5 3/4" wide by 3 1/2" deep.

It is a retro replica from the Showa Era in Japan.

Takoyaki is Japanese street food famous in Osaka. The Takoyaki batter is made of flour, eggs, dashi stock and soy sauce then poured into a circular mold. Chunks of Tako (octopus) is placed inside each ball while it continues to cook. The balls are then covered with a soy based sauce and sprinkled with green seaweed and bonito flakes. Delicious!

These Takayoki are made of styrofoam. The building is made of wood, cardboard and paper.
